Draw a pencil line around to cut to. You can leave a bit more than the deck keep it even this helps folding it in. The fold is a smother line and helps gluing the deck with MEK. No wood needed. https://www.breakingwindboats.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=166585139 166585139 Ranger keel cut to template https://www.breakingwindboats.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=166585138 166585138 Measuring keel into hull With the center line marked on the outside hold the hull up to a light and it is easy to see and transfer to the inside for the keel. https://www.breakingwindboats.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=166585140 166585140 set up ready to glue in the trunk. Fast and stronger than anything else. Use very little ! It should not run, drip or puddle anywhere. You don't want the glue to go under tape, It will mark the hull if it does. https://www.breakingwindboats.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=166580519 166580519 Closeup of bow ready to glue hull to deck They should fit very close if you are using MEK. Use very little ! It should not run, drip or puddle anywhere. https://www.breakingwindboats.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=166580457 166580457 The model glue works but is VERY SLOW TO DRY Buy it for the bottle dump out the glue and refill with MEK. The Needle is just perfect. You don't want the glue to go under tape, It will mark the hull if it does. https://www.breakingwindboats.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=166580981 166580981 I set it up and start gluing at the stern. The area you are gluing should be horizontal. Glue up to one tape on both sides.Let it sit a while. Remove that one and finish the area. https://www.breakingwindboats.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=166582020 166582020 Glue under the tape MEK takes very little to do the job. it should be just wet on the application. To much and it wicks under the tape and you get a mess. https://www.breakingwindboats.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=169493658 169493658 Checking weight. https://www.breakingwindboats.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=166354360 166354360
